Is getting tattoos and piercings just like acupuncture and effecting your health? Acupuncture is a very effective therapy when performed by a licensed acupuncturist or Eastern Medicine Doctor, but what about when an unqualified acupuncturist? Is it just as wise to have an unqualified person perform surgery?
First a little review of Eastern Medicine. Qi (chi) is energy that flows through your body along meridians lines. There are 12 meridian lines where qi flows to heal your body. Along these meridian lines are point where qi may be blocked. Acupuncture uses needles on these points to unblock qi. When qi is blocked it cannot heal nor can it maintain your body’s homeostasis. When qi is out of balance your health is impaired.
Tattoo needles penetrate the skin at the same level as acupuncture needles. If skin regenerates cells and cannot be stained, then how do tattoos keep their color? Tattoos are scar tissue. Scar tissue generates a tiny electrical charge.
Body piercings have been linked to health ailments. Tongue piercings have been linked to heart problems and the tongue is associated with the heart in Chinese medicine. Ear piercings have been linked to headaches. Lip piercing effect the stomach.
Ancient Chinese doctors have used tattoos along meridians to heal specific conditions when they needed to block excess qi. Random tattoos and piercings can block qi in an adverse way. Modern instruments can measure qi and a there is a measureable lack of qi in the area of tattoos and piercings.
So the evidence shows that tattoos and piercings can have an adverse effect on you health.
